Choose supported presence sensing for occupancy-based routines; buy a camera when seeing the scene is itself necessary.
A room can need responsive lighting without anyone wanting footage of the people inside it. Define that boundary before the camera becomes the default answer to every smart-home question.
FP2 offers a presence-based route with its own power, Wi-Fi and calibration needs. C225 is a camera with a different privacy and recording discussion. Do not buy one as though it were simply another version of the other.
If the aim is convenient lights, evaluate the supported presence routine first. If visual checking is genuinely part of the brief, agree the permitted view and access. Neither category should be presented as a medical or guaranteed safety monitor.
Before you order
- Define occupancy information versus visual viewing.
- Agree privacy and access expectations.
- Check the exact setup requirements.
