Give every proposed opening its own reference, hardware type and fit status before aggregating quantities.
Separate resident entrance doors, internal rooms and any shared-space openings. They may serve different users and have different hardware. A project containing one hundred apartments does not necessarily need one identical lock per apartment, nor does it prove a consumer lock fits the common entrances.
Record which openings are ready for a proposed model and which need another decision. Group the confirmed lines only after the installer has reviewed the relevant conditions. Keep the exception count visible rather than hiding it in an apparently tidy bulk total.
Use the schedule at receiving and installation as well as purchasing. A labelled unit allocation reduces the chance that the correct regional product goes to the wrong opening. It also gives later battery and account records a stable reference.
