Choose P2 for a supported Matter-over-Thread setup; choose the Zigbee sensor when a compatible Aqara hub is the intended home.
Both products can contribute an opening event, but the devices around them are different. A sensor that costs less on its own may not produce the less expensive complete setup.
P2 needs a suitable Matter controller and Thread border router. The Aqara Zigbee door sensor needs a compatible Aqara hub. Check what is already installed and which platform should display the opening state.
The physical fit still matters: sensor, magnet and the real closed gap must suit the door or window. Choose the connection route once, then standardize the appropriate sensor where the same job repeats.
