Start with one correctly placed P1 and a tested lighting path; add coverage only where the walk-through reveals a gap.
A long straight hall and a short corridor with a sharp turn behave differently. The annoying delay often happens because the person is already around the corner before entering the sensor's useful field of view. Buying a brighter bulb does not change that geometry.
A P1 requires a compatible Aqara hub. If the light is a T2 bulb, choose its operating protocol and check the supported automation path. Keep power to the smart bulb available and agree how the ordinary wall switch will be used.
Walk the route from both ends while carrying something, then pause near the turn. Look for early detection and sensible light duration rather than maximum sensitivity. That small placement exercise helps determine whether a second sensor is necessary, or whether the first one simply belongs somewhere else.
