Compare exact no-neutral-capable applications using the real lamps and wiring, not a brand-wide assumption.
An older switch box without a neutral can make a smart upgrade seem difficult. It does not mean every no-neutral product will work with the connected lamps. Identify the circuit, load and available box space before choosing the replacement.
The listed H2 US dimmer and Caséta Diva options require model-specific review of wiring, minimum load and approved dimming behavior. Do not extend a feature from one Caséta product to every Caséta switch. A smart bulb is also a separate approach and should not be placed on an ordinary dimmer.
Have a qualified installer assess a representative circuit and lamp combination. Ask what happens at the dimming extremes and after a power interruption. The right purchase solves the existing circuit's needs; a label saying no neutral is only one part of its fit, not permission to skip the rest of the installation assessment.
Before you order
- Identify the actual neutral and wiring conditions.
- Check minimum load and compatible lamps.
- Review box space and local installation requirements.
