Keep procurement tied to confirmed conditions rather than the overall renovation end date. Some equipment can be selected early; other lines need a site finding or sample-room result. Record which trade releases each decision so orders do not run ahead of the design.
Reserve a commissioning and handover slot after the physical work is ready. The customer should see scenes, manual overrides and account ownership checked in the finished setting. A device fitted during construction is not automatically a tested living-space experience.
