Use room sensing to inform a supported control strategy; investigate the HVAC system separately when independent room control is required.
A warm upstairs room can make another sensor feel like the obvious solution. It may help show what is happening, but measuring a second room does not create a separate path for heating or cooling it.
Premium's supported room-sensor functions and an Aqara temperature sensor serve different ecosystems. Do not assume that adding either gives independent control over every room. The equipment, distribution and approved integration determine what actions are possible.
If the goal is understanding the difference, monitoring can be a sensible first purchase. If the goal is distinct temperatures at the same time, ask the HVAC professional to define what physical changes or supported controls are needed.
Before you order
- Separate measurement from independent control.
- Identify the actual HVAC zoning arrangement.
- Check the exact supported sensor integration.
A useful next step
Describe the rooms and desired temperatures before building the equipment list.
