A thermostat may be electrically compatible yet need additional work to receive reliable power. The missing detail is often inside the equipment cabinet, not visible in the front-facing product photograph.
For ecobee Enhanced or Premium, use the official installation and compatibility guidance to establish the supported route. A Power Extender Kit is not a universal answer for every system that lacks a C-wire.
Ask for a complete scope that includes access, any supported accessory and commissioning. A slightly different product total can be outweighed by installation conditions. Once the power plan is clear, compare the daily features with much more confidence.
