Build a short offline test into the showroom routine and describe the result for the exact equipment being shown.
Visitors often ask whether a smart home becomes unusable without internet. Answer with an observed demonstration: the physical key, keypad or wall control that remains available, followed by a clear explanation of functions that depend on a hub, network or remote service.
Do not unplug random equipment in front of a customer. Prepare a controlled test that distinguishes loss of internet from loss of power, local wireless coverage and controller availability. Record which scenario was tested and restore the display afterwards.
Keep that result attached to the demonstration configuration. A different firmware version, controller or automation route can change the behaviour. Staff should never turn one successful test into a promise that every smart product works offline in every situation.
Before you order
- Separate internet, power and hub failure tests.
- Show the actual manual control path.
- Record the tested configuration and restore settings.
