Choose the layer you regularly adjust for daylight, privacy or sleep before motorizing both tracks.
A double-layer window can tempt you into buying twice before deciding which movement matters. The sheer layer may be used all day; the blackout layer may be the one awkward action every morning and evening.
Observe a normal week and choose the higher-value task. Then check the appropriate Curtain 3 or Aqara E1 track arrangement against that layer's hardware and weight. One layer's fit does not prove the other is the same.
Keep manual use of the remaining layer comfortable. A well-chosen first motor can deliver the convenience you wanted while leaving the second phase optional, rather than turning a small improvement into a mandatory whole-window project.
Before you order
- Record which layer you adjust most.
- Survey each track independently.
- Keep the other layer easy to operate.
A useful next step
Price the priority layer separately before combining the whole window.
