Review storage, playback access and the retention decision as separate parts of the camera’s operating plan.
Check the installed hardware version and the supported memory-card guidance. A card inserted into the slot does not prove the intended recording mode is active or that the relevant person can retrieve a clip. Use an authorised, controlled test rather than reviewing unrelated private footage.
Keep local storage and any optional cloud service distinct. Confirm who has access and what the project’s agreed retention purpose is. Do not turn a general maintenance visit into a legal assurance about recording compliance.
Record the result and any missing prerequisite, including power or network conditions relevant to the requested function. A camera that needs wired power should not be described as continuing through every outage. The purchase is easier to operate when storage expectations are explicit.
Before you order
- Verify the exact card and hardware guidance.
- Test authorised playback of a controlled sample.
- Record access and agreed retention decisions.
