Start with useful room readings when you do not yet know when or why the discomfort occurs.
A room that feels warm only in afternoon sun has a different problem from one that stays uncomfortable all day. Record the pattern alongside how the room is used, rather than replacing the main thermostat immediately.
Meter Plus or a compatible Aqara sensor can help with the observation, using their respective connection arrangements. Keep the device away from an unrepresentative local heat source.
If the pattern points to scheduling and the HVAC is compatible, an Enhanced thermostat may then be worth considering. If it points to sunlight, airflow or the building itself, a thermostat purchase alone may not deliver the improvement you want.
Before you order
- Record time, use and discomfort together.
- Choose a representative sensor position.
- Review the pattern before selecting controls.
A useful next step
Collect the room pattern and discuss the most relevant upgrade.
