Use a properly prepared demonstration board and keep live installation work outside the ordinary sales conversation.
Customers should feel the dimmer and see the light response, then compare it with an on/off switch. Ask what kind of load they want to control. A pleasant dimming demonstration is not proof that an unknown LED driver, fan or fixture is compatible.
Keep exact product numbers visible. The standard Diva dimmer’s no-neutral characteristic must not become a blanket claim about Claro switches or every Caseta variant. Explain that wall-box conditions and the existing circuit need assessment by an appropriate installer.
Prepare a simple handoff from sales to installation: photographs taken safely by the customer, fixture information and a defined survey request. Staff should not ask an untrained visitor to open energised equipment. A clear boundary makes the showroom more professional, not less persuasive.
Before you order
- Label the demonstrated load and model number.
- Separate dimming from on/off control.
- Use an installer-led wiring assessment process.
