Use the installer’s measured door schedule as the basis for procurement.
Ask for a clear decision on the opening: suitable as measured, requires agreed preparation, or needs another product. Keep notes about latch alignment and existing hardware with the door reference. The sales list should not silently override those findings to use available inventory.
Then assign the digital handover separately. Decide who pairs the device, creates the customer-owned account and checks the required credentials. A successfully fitted lock is not a complete acceptance test of remote access or a requested automation.
Give the customer one coordinated summary of the two workstreams. Any unresolved door work or platform dependency should remain visible before purchase. This lets a locksmith and a smart-home seller cooperate without either party claiming expertise or responsibility they have not agreed to provide.
Before you order
- Procure from the measured door schedule.
- Separate fitting from account commissioning.
- Keep unresolved preparation and hub needs visible.
