Demonstrate the difference between movement and continued presence before discussing room-wide automation.
Invite the visitor to sit and read while you explain the scene. The question is whether the intended room state remains sensible during stillness, not whether a light can turn on when someone waves a hand. Keep a manual override available throughout the demonstration.
Use the exact sensor’s supported feature set. FP2 room-zone planning is not a feature you should casually promise for every presence sensor; FP1E has its own hub and installation requirements. Show placement and power connections rather than hiding them behind the display.
Ask about the customer’s room layout, moving curtains, fans and nearby circulation areas. A sample-room result needs a site-specific test before it becomes a sales promise. That test can be a useful first service offering for an installer or new smart-home shop.
