Define opening, dining and closing behaviour before selecting the control arrangement.
Walk through the actual service routine with the operator. Identify which fittings need dimming, which areas need independent control and what staff must be able to change manually. An attractive evening photograph does not show whether the existing lamps and circuits suit a proposed dimmer.
Create a small scene list with understandable names and a clear control location. Avoid making every employee use an administrator app. Have the relevant installer review wiring, load and the exact model before equipment is ordered.
Test the scenes under normal operating conditions and prepare a short staff card. Include how to restore ordinary lighting if a scene is unsuitable. A repeatable, simple routine is a stronger purchase reason for a restaurant than a large collection of rarely used effects.
Before you order
- Map lighting needs to real service shifts.
- Check fixtures and loads before choosing controls.
- Give staff a simple scene and fallback card.
