Compare exact supported devices and functions before choosing the larger hub package.
If Curtain 3 or another SwitchBot product is the reason for the purchase, begin with the functions you want from that device. Nearby control, supported remote use and Matter integration are separate requirements.
The Matter-enabled Hub Mini and Hub 2 should be compared through their current official support lists. Do not confuse the Matter-enabled Mini with a similarly named older variant, or assume every SwitchBot function appears through a shared platform.
Choose the package that completes the intended routine without unnecessary extras. Keep the hub's network and power position practical; an unused additional feature will not compensate for poor placement.
Before you order
- Verify the exact hub variant.
- Check the intended device's supported bridge functions.
- Plan power and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi at the hub.
A useful next step
Compare hubs against a short list of required SwitchBot functions.
